Puppetry is just like any other form of art, and it also has a long tradition dating back to 2000 BC. It was common in ancient India, China, Turkey and several other Asian countries.

The Romans and Greeks also used puppets in their early religious plays. The State and the Church even declared these plays as unfit for children!

But let's not get distracted. Our focus here is on making hand puppets rather than operating them.
